I have been trying to bring it up on a 486 system that I have here, but I cannot get it to boot. I grabbed the dist.fs from ftp.uu.net, and placed it on a floppy. When I try to boot off of this floppy, it starts booting (I can hear the floppy working), but before it prints any messages on the screen it stops, and the floppy light just stays on. The system is a Dell 486DX/25 with 16 Megs of Ram, an Adaptec 1542B SCSI host, a Maxtor 220 Meg SCSI drive, and a QIC-02 (Wangtek) tape drive. If anyone has any information for me, I would love to hear from you!! - Mike - +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ : Michael Francis Quigley II : : stmq@vm.marist.edu / mfq@world.std.com : : "peace through music.." : +--------------------------------------------------------------------+
