Who wants to HAVE to download and install everything just to apply 100+ patches, then go through and remove the unused stuff to have a usable system??? And if your like me, I've installed 386bsd several times now, and to have to do this everytime can be VERY annoying as well as taking up a great deal of my week... So what I propose to do is start a new and seperate release of 386bsd, maybe 386bsd Version 0.1.1 or something that will have a totally NEw install program (with much better control over what you want to install, as well as how much room you want to give each partition), and the ability to remove installed packages (ie: like Xenox and several other flavors of UNIX allow you to do effortlessly). I plan to incorporate all of the current patches to the O.S. in this release, and make everything available (SOMEWHERE) on the internet. I'm interested in hearing anything you have to say, good or bad, for or against this idea, and if you are willing to help out (I'm going through and re-doing the whole way that the packages are saved on floppies, and installed, everything) then send me some E-Mail... *=> FLAME On!
