Hmmm, I have not received any bug or problem reports concerning efs for months so I assume that it is stable. You know, if you have problems with efs, simply telling "it is not stable" won't help anybody. Just send me a mail describing your problems and I will take a look at it and, hopefully, fix the bug if I find one. This way, it will help every efs end e2fs users.
