I'm almost about to give up.

I started out with the naive intention of trying out both Linux
and 386BSD, and have had nothing but problems with 386BSD.

I got Linux installed, up and running in 40 minutes flat (including
a kernel recompile to make it use more RAM). So far so good. Things looked
promising; it was sunny outside and the birds were chirping.

Then I decided to check out 386BSD. I grew up with BSD, so I'm biased
towards it. Here are the steps I followed (correct me if I made a mistake
somewhere):
	1. ftp over to agate.berkeley.edu, and download the docs; read them.
	2. ftp to agate again, and (as per the ROADMAP), download dist.fs
	   and fixit.fs from bootable/
(* The files are almost a year old! How would one go about installing
	   386bsd 0.2 ? Isn't it time to update the TinyBSD dist ??)
	3. rawrite them onto two formatted floppies.
	4. plop them into the system, and I get:

as0b: illegal request writing fsbn 0
		hit reset please

Hmm.. what now? (suddenly it's dark and gloomy outside, and snowing)
I noticed that people were referring to a TinyBSD dist with version
0.2 on the net. After a lot of looking around, I found the dist.fs file
in unofficial/patch-kit.old/. I downloaded that, and it too won't
	work.

Now I'm stuck. I'd *really* like to get 386BSD installed on my system
(description below), but I just can't get started. This is sooo frustrating!!

Here's a description of my system:
	Dell 450 DE System
		486DX 40 MHz
		32 MB RAM
		256K Cache
		EISA bus
AMI series 44C SCSI controller (compatible with 154x, or so they claim)
	Seagate 11200 1.2GB disk
	SVGA
3C503 TP Ethernet Card, hooked up to our campus net.

Now I've come to the question: is this system supported by 386BSD ? I have
a feeling it may be something to do with the EISA bus; but how would I install
the system then, if TinyBSD don't work?

I have Linux installed and running; can I use that to install 386BSD ?
(chances are slim, but what the heck! I'm grabbing at straws anyway..)

Any help will be appreciated.
