Can anyone comment about reliability of 386BSD as a NFS -server. >(Does it support file sharing/locking between multiple msdos clients?) i don't know how well it works with DOS in general, but it's worth noting that *NO* non-commercial unix has support for NFS file locking -- the lockd used to be so damned obscure that nobody could figure out how to write a compliant one. however, now, apparently there are docs for it. if you're interested in writing a lockd and putting it under the berkeley license (rather than the GPL), talk to glass@postgres.berkeley.edu. he's not a lockd god, or anything, but has enough pointers to docs to get you started... chris -- Chris G.
