The "correct" fix is not to change mail.local.c at all! Actually this looks like the same problem that Jonas Olsson is having with the resolver. There shouldn't be any need to change mail.local.c, it works fine as it is. The problem appears to be (from other reports) that there is not a localhost entry in the DNS database.
