I think the silo overflows were the biggest problem of the com drivers, too. But I had the impression that bde's driver relies on npx-0.4, which only runs on 486. Has this limitation been removed for the patchkit version ? (I surely hope so). On a side note: Does anyone have patches for the serial console to work before comattach() is called ? So that I can debug drivers in the probe/attach phase. Christoph
