Nice idea, I am trying the same thing with an AT-style MFM controller
jumpered to the secondary adress (ISA terminology!) Unfortunately are
there many loose ends (nice word for bugs) in the wd driver. It has
many problems determining the source of an interrupt coming from the
second controller.
Many proposals for patches have I seen, but none work well for me.
I am trying to understand the working of the interrupt sytem of 386bsd,
but I am not getting anywere (yet).
