My queston is, How do I use the com ports? I have tried setting one up in /etc/ttys with getty that I have a modem attached to, but nothing happens. tip to the com port with the modem gets no results I have attempted to set up a serial printer on one of the port - all it would do is cause the printer to chirp I would also like to try to set up a terminal to one of the ports (we have several unused vt100 style terminals avaialble) Does anyone have any general instructions for setting up and using com ports on 386bsd? (by the way, comp.os.386bsd.* has been dead here lately - has our feed just been messed up or have the groups died? ) Duane L.
