I just installed the new Syscons 1.2 console driver. It is running on a
stock source patched with the 2.2 patchkit. It fails on two levels.
The basic functions work ok but when I attempt to switch screens with an ALT
Fx key, I have just a few seconds to switch back to the original screen
before it reboots the machine.

The second failure is when I start the X-server. It fails with a
KBDFORCEASCII: bad ioctl for device message (or close to that). I can't
find that ioctl in any of the files or the ioctl.doc.

Any suggestions?
