One of these supports soloution 2; the other makes assumptions about what hardware is present rather than relying on a probe to provide an accurate ardware inventory. You might as well make the argument that 386BSD is "BUSTED" because it runs in protected mode and can therefore not support the BIOS calls that allow Diamond SpeedStar hardware to be used in high resoloution modes usable in DOS; after all: "It IS possible to use HiRes modes on that card! AutoCAD does it, MS-Windows does it, *ETC*. If 386BSD does not, THEN IT IS BUSTED." This is clearly an invalid argument. Straw Man. (or red herring?) That's not a hardware issue.
