Why have over a half dozen people wasted all this public network bandwidth by posting: "Ever heard of archie? You can use it to locate stuff." Instead, why don't people just send the poor guy a piece of email saying: #"The FAQ for 386BSD is available on ftp.iastate.edu, in the directory #/pub/386bsd/386bsd-0.1/unofficial/. # # Good luck! Hope it works out for you!" Of course, the easiest way to prevent FAQ's from coming up in a newsgroup is to post the FAQ periodically. And considering that this is the .question group, one should expect questions to come up periodically. If you don't like answering questions, don't read this group. Instead people have sent out 6 public responses which contained no useful information to someone asking a very simple question. Yes, I can tell people really put a lot of thought into their replies. Stop trying to chase people away from this group. Consider yourself lucky that it isn't as busy as comp.os.linux with 200 new messages a day. -- sheldon@iastate.edu Steve Sheldon copyright 1993 This signature is Shareware ICSS Resource Unit This .sig is Please send $25 to this address ------> 2142 Agronomy Hall Shareware!
