Hope it works out for you!" I cannot agree with you. It's more helpful to tell many people about archie by posting than to mail FAQ to only one person (at once). I hope everyone use archie, freeWAIS or anything like that. > Of course, the easiest way to prevent FAQ's from coming up in a newsgroup >is to post the FAQ periodically. And considering that this is the .question >group, one should expect questions to come up periodically. If you don't >like answering questions, don't read this group. I didn't say like "you should not ask that question". Instead, I said "if you know archie, you *don't have to* ask it". For some types of questions, I can rely on archie much more than replies from the net. It doesn't mean people on the net are not reliable but means that sometimes I cannot expect a reply to my post from the net whereas I can expect a result from archie whatever it is. >[......] > Stop trying to chase people away from this group. Consider yourself lucky >that it isn't as busy as comp.os.linux with 200 new messages a day. Again, I don't try to chase people away from this group. I'm trying to be as helpful as I can even if you don't think so. Regards, Ken Nakata -- /* I apologize if there are incorrect, rude, and/or impolite expressions in this mail or post.
