I still think that Linux participants are more active and vocal than
386bsd. And, I have been with 386bsd since 0.0 for over a year now :-)

Again, I read other newsgroups, and seldomly do I see any 386bsd
people speaking out. Also, from my release of XS3, I happen to received
more questions from the Linux group than from 386bsd. (I am not
soliciting mail just an observation!)

**** Where is are our CD-ROM distribution? Linux has one... *******

Before we go on criticizing NetBSD may I suggest that we find out what
exactly is NetBSD. It is conceivable that NetBSD satifies all the
requirements for an interim release of 386bsd. Better installation,
Julian's scsi driver, etc...

As for recommending 386bsd, I really would hate to recommend 0.1 when
I know that it has received so many patches for both the kernel and
some of its binaries. From Lynn Jolitz posting, I am aware that
some of the patches may be incorrrect.

Also, Chris promised to integrate to 386bsd 0.2, when it comes out, into
NetBSD.

If 0.2 have been out with all acceptable patches, I really doubt that
there would have been a NetBSD release.

I really would **love** to see the net organize itself into key areas of
386bsd. For instance, Virtual Memory Management, Networking, system
calls, Driver Support,etc.. And begin to really, improve 386bsd in a
positive and quality fashion. X support is a really good example
of what can we do when co-operate together (even across multiple-platforms)

May I also suggest, that we should carry out intellingent discussions on the
net about different components of the OS.

So before we try to tear down something,
lets try to find out what exactly is
	      and sound a bit more
		  intelligent

	Peace,
	Amancio
