Im running 386bsd/0.1 with 0.2.3 patchkit. On a 486/66. The problem is, that im getting panics when using one of the scsi devices extensively. It seems random tho. First, I only had this problem with the dat tape drive (A HP dat tape) It made it impossible making backups normally. Today, we installed a second 1 gig harddisk, and while copying the /news/spool dir (about 400 meg) to the new drive, I got the same panic. Subsequent tries did the same. If you use it normally..without doing extensive io, it seems to work fine, but when you start doing tons of io, it sometimes panics. This is the error im getting: aha0 device 5 timed out. aha0 device 0 times out aha0 not taking commands! stopped at 0xfea03f9f4 leave the second drive I installed today has scsi id 5. The first drive is scsi id 0. Im running 2, 1 gig, harddisks, 1 tapedrive, and 2 CD drives on the scsi. Oh..and im using an adaptec controller. I hope someone can shed some light on this problem, cause its rendering the tape and drive almost useless. cor -- |bosman@fwi.uva.nl_ // | Honest Officer , had I known my health | |-----------------\\ //AMIGA | stood in jeopardy I would never had lit one.| | PE no.1 \\/ | -MAXIM (of the Hells Angels)- | |__________ Quickly Scotty, beam me up.There is no ox..y..ge..._____________|
