Some motherboards come with an S3 805 right on the motherboard. If the top five bits are zero or if the motherboard with netbsd can map properly the video ram address 0x7c..... (if this is the value that Dell chose) then I am afraid that you will have too many xstones on your screen :-) Bug me this weekend, after I am done installing netbsd on my new disk drive because I will have a simple test program to diagnose your S3 805.
