Subject: Target mode with Julian's SCSI

I'm adding target mode support to Julian's SCSI. I'm using the
Adaptec 1542B and will later add support for the 1740.

One thing I'm adding is the handling of residual counts, at least
when in target mode.

Weren't some people working on that before? In particular, I
thought some people wanted short reads to work on tapes.

If someone has changes to support residual counts send them to me
and I'll incorporate my target stuff in. Otherwise, bug me if you
need residual count code and I'll get this out shortly.

If anyone knows the scoop about residuals being left out (like it
is a pain to support on all host adapters) feel free to speak out
(how long does this take to get to Oz?).

If you have a need for target mode send me e-mail. You should have
the ability to debug any problems that show up. A hacker needing
target mode on a non-adaptec host adapter would be great.

You are warned that the Adaptec 1542C doesn't work the same as the
1542B in target mode, and may currently not work at all.
