The install notes only mention the 1542B. > You can use the 1542C for the installation of NetBSD-0.8, you can not use it for the installation of 386bsd-0.1, but you can later run 386bsd-0.1 with a 1542C, the original boot-code from the "normal" 386bsd-0.1 boot floppy, don't boot from the 1542C, if you can manage to get new-boot blocks installed, it does function.
