   This reminds me... Since the Interim Release folks are updating a lot
   of the other software that comes with 386BSD, how's about picking up
   sendmail 6.0 to replace the aging 5.65 that's in there now?  (And the
   configuration support is a lot better.)

Garret,

That is close to the current plan for NetBSD.  We will pick up
sendmail r6 as when it goes Beta in a few weeks.

Allman himself describes the version of sendmail in the net-2 snapshot
and in 386bsd as pre-Alpha and not something he'd want to run if he
desired reliable mail.
