Though I have some questions that I haven't found the answers for yet. Does NetBSD's uucp work for call in *AND* call out? (I want to run a free UUCP and/or PPP connection to Internet in Slovakia). I gather there was some problem with 'overflowing silos' but it wasn't clear if NetBSD suffered from this problem. Anybody know ? The documentation said theat only QIC-02 tape drives are compatible. But then someone mentioned SCSI tape drives. Are these compatible ? Someody mentioned a boot program that would allow a choice of which partition to boot at boot time. What was this ? Also someone else mentioned having problems with the GNU C compiler. Spurious signals were recieved which prompted the compiler to stop. I expereinced the same thing with GNU's C compiler on SCO 3.2.2. Someone suggested to me that this could a fault on the motherboard, but they didn't spot anything whreen I returned it to the shop. ( Despite the quality of the GNU compiler, it's impossible to get a repair made on the grounds of one of its error messages :-( Any ideas appreciated ) Presumably I can just insert a few 'signal(SIGXXXX, SIG_IGN)'s into the compiler sources ? The documentation mentions adding /usr filesystem. Presumeably more can be added (/usr/spool/news, /usr/tmp. /homes). Should these be added during the installation procedure or later. Or is it as easy either way. How about a new newsgroup ? Thanks a lot if you read this far and can help.
