Both servers, the older (beta) one and the 1.2 server (home built in my X11R5 tree) leave the VGA display in a mode which is unusable. The old server leaves amnaesiac character patterns on the screen by which you just can guess what you type. The new server leaves the VGA in a differnet timing than before starting the X server being unusable as well. Anyone having similar problems and eventually a cure? -- --Chris Christoph P. U.
