Either the timing is so different that it cannot synchronize anymore (the screen is then full of little o bubbles) or the characters are somewhat anemic and unreadable for a 'normal' user :-( The latter behaviour is with the old server (Beta of around Dec 92) while the former is with the new (1.2) one.
