About a year ago, we managed to get a working cross linker from the (beta)
binutils-1.94 (thanks to patches provided by Bob Kukara (rk@theep.boston.ma.us)).

I tried binutils 2.0, but it doesn't appear to work right out of the box, and
I've had no time to try and figure out why. Hopefully someone soon will take
care of this.

In the meantime, we have the *binary* for ld available for anon ftp on ee.cornell.edu
in pub/386bsd, called ld.Z. The patches from the original 1.94 binutils are also
provided. This binary was built for SunOS 4.1 to generate 386BSD-0.0 executables
It works for 386BSD-0.1 as well.
