I'm running 0.1 pl 0.2.?. dd'ing off any *st0* yields something like bad filedescriptor, just as if the device weren't there. The tape is at scsi port 0, and it is recognized on boot by the controller. The controller is a 1542c, the tape is a QIC150 Tandberg, but is recognized as "archive ciper 150" or some such. BTW the original kernel gives "controller error #0x12" and then hangs, but the tape keeps winding. How do I make it work ? /*No, there's no mt on my box. I assume it's in a newer patchkit. Ah, well...*/ -Bernard
