Date: 13 May 1993 15:52:45 GMT Organization: Universitaet Dortmund, CT, Germany Lines: 13 Message-ID: <1stqsdINNk3v@unidoct.Chemietechnik.Uni-Dortmund.DE> NNTP-Posting-Host: plato.chemietechnik.uni-dortmund.de I'm going to buy a 50 Mhz Vesa Local Bus Motherboard and I'd like to know wether 386bsd will work with a Vesa Local Bus IDE controller. If so, will it be faster, too? If not, is it likely to be supported in the future? I'll also be buyin a ELSA Winner 1000 S3-928 card (Local bus). It has an option to put 1 meg of DRAM onto it to store fonts on the card locally to speed up text operations. Is this going to have any effect under 386bsd / XFree86? Thanks for any answers/personal experiences. -Sven
