Well I had an Orchid Vesa Local bus 486/50 and an IDE local bus controller,
386bsd 0.1 booted the system with no problems the first time.
With iozone I was getting around 900kbytes/second minimum.
Some scsi subsystems get around 1100kbytes/second under 386bsd.

The server is the one who does the caching and not the card at least
with the X servers. Currently, XS3 uses only 1MB for both caching
and displaying. As for Xfree86 support for S3 cards is coming just
e-mail the Xfree86 team.

Enjoy,
Amancio
