I haven't tried mount 386BSD parititions from elsewhere (kind of pointless given that I've only got a 40MB hard disk), but I've been having other problems with NFS (actually, using NetBSD): - I cannot mount a DEC Ultrix box. The connection runs for awhile and then hangs. - I cannot mount a DEC Alpha OSF/1 box. Same as above. I have been able to mount a VAX/VMS box running Multinet, but I have difficulties building a new kernel. All of the sources live over on the VMS box; when I build a new kernel, I will occasionally get bogus syntax errors from the compiler. I have a friend running on a bigger machine that has no difficulty building kernels locally, so I think it might be some sort of NFS problem. My friend has not been able to NFS mount anything. He can't even talk to the VAX that I'm talking to. I have a WD8003 and he's got an NE2000 clone; with the trouble that had getting the NE2000 to run at all, his NFS problems may be something to do with the NE2000. Roger Ivie ivie@cc.usu.edu
