Rumor has it that a German magazine has reported that there is some
kind of problem with the 1542C ("C", not "B" or "A"), where writing
large blocks of data in one chunk could cause corrupted data.
Supposedly, the DOS driver breaks up write requests into smaller blocks
to get around this problem. The rumor further says that Adaptec is
considering recalling 1542Cs to fix this. I wonder if this is really
related to termination problems?

Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? I certainly hope
not, but I'd like to know one way or the other.
