If this has been fixed, please let me know.  I don't want to repeat efforts.

My machine runs all the typical NFS server gunk (portmap, mountd, nfsd, etc)
and exports only /usr.

One thing which I though interesting was that the nfsd processes are ``owned''
by whoever is doing the remote access.  This is rather nice, and I wish other
vendors (Dec?  Are you listening?) did this as well since it helps track down
who is pounding on an NFS server machine.

However, my roomate logged on and killed the nfs daemons -- as himself, not
root.

Now, since he made his machine useless at that point he'll not be doing that
again soon, but it is interesting to note that this can be done.
