In the past, I was successful in compiling a piece of code
that used the crypt function for 386BSD. I made the transition
to NetBSD and now, I can no longer get it to compile. During the
linking, it can't find _crypt symbol. I have installed the
secr08 binaries, and still get nowhere. I guess I am looking
for a new library, or is there something I can do?
Secondly, I have an Epson FX-185 parallel printer attached to
my machine. I setup the printcap file for use with lpa1 and lpt1
(Not at the same time, but both seem to fail), using lpc,
the status reports that the printer is offline. I used MAKEDEV
to make lpt1 and lpa1, and can't figure out what is wrong. The
printer works fine while under DOS (I know.. nasty three letter
word). Is there anything I can do to solve this as well??
Thank you....
