Holman) Date: 17 May 93 10:11:00 -0700 Nntp-Posting-Host: nephi-hbll.byu.edu Lines: 20 I recompiled the NetBSD Kernel. I increased the number of users and the number of ptys. I also modified the MAKEDEV script to allow it to generate ptys beyond 32. When I boot it gives me the message "Kernel is too big for 640K. Only hope is to link for >1MB". I assume that this message was put there for a reason. Can someone tell me how to link for >1MB. Also according to a comment in MAKEDEV, telnetd only recognizes pty 'p' through 's'. Is it possible to increase this by modifying the source code for telnetd? I increased the ptys to 64 or from 'p' to 'x'. Thanks in advance. Brian K.
