Peckham) Organization: Digital Equipment Corporation Date: Mon, 17 May 1993 16:04:07 GMT I am running 386BSD diskless, but obviously still need to boot off of floppy to start it up. Anyway, I noticed that when running X I could only get 3 ptys going. This turned out to require a mod in the pty code to allocate the appropriate number of data structures. But when I tried to start up the new kernel, the loader complained about the system being too big - the additional data structures had pushed the bss and the loader wasn't loaded high enough to accomodate it. Has anyone made adjustments to the floppy boot code which will allow it to load larger systems? It would sure be nice to have more than 3 xterm windows at a time...
