I am running 386BSD diskless, but obviously still need to boot
off of floppy to start it up. Anyway, I noticed that when
running X I could only get 3 ptys going. This turned out to
require a mod in the pty code to allocate the appropriate
number of data structures. But when I tried to start up the
new kernel, the loader complained about the system being
too big - the additional data structures had pushed the bss
and the loader wasn't loaded high enough to accomodate it.
Has anyone made adjustments to the floppy boot code which
will allow it to load larger systems? It would sure be nice
to have more than 3 xterm windows at a time...
