Lines: 30 I think of the small and talented group that has made up the CSRG over the years and see this as the end of something which had such a major positive impact on my life and environmentthat I can not express my appreciation properly. It's like losing an uncle who lived a long way away, but always sent pictures and presents at Christmas and Birthdays. Think of what computing would be for all of us without the the current status of UNIX and so called Open Systems. Much of this has been directly impacted by the CSRG, more than any other single group. I regret that some creative means of financing the CSRG continuation of BSD and research at the same time was not found. There should have been so may options. Sigh... I will see tapes are picked up here when available. john I would offer $2000. of my own for a real completion of 4.4. -- ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ John A.
