It sounds that you have the wrong disklabel for your disk... As far as the patch for wd.c, if it is for IDE, it consists of one line to allow using two ide drives. It works in my system. Will dig around some more but I think none of the patches should affect you in the manner that you describe. Cheers, Amancio
