I think it is useful if someone can provide us with a compiled tiff library (libtiff.a), or at least the file libtiff/tif_fax3.o, which contains the G3 states. I tried a lot of times to compile this library (with gcc2.3.3, libg++2.3) but I ran out of swap space when it tries to pass this file ... (with limit * unlimited, 8MB ram, 20 MB swap.486sx,no fpu. Also tried gcc with no make running, no difference...) Thanks in advance, too, Sotiris (leventis@csi.forth.gr)
