Briefly: You don't need ttysoftcar if you have Solaris 1.1 == SUN OS 4.1.3. You have to create /dev/cua0 and /dev/cua1 manually with the correct permissions and the correct major and minor device number. /dev/cuaX are now the outgoing lines, /dev/tty{a,b} the incoming ones. Finally you have to modify /etc/{ttytab,gettytab} for your needs. If you have the manuals ... read it. If you have further problems I can send you my configuration via email. -- ////// Andreas Klemm \\\\\\ /////// andreas@knobel.GUN.de \\\\\\\ private : +49 2137 12609 D-4040 Neuss 21 (Norf), Germany at work : +49 2173 3964 161 Wiechers & Partner Datentechnik GmbH Telefax : +49 2173 3964 222 Abteilung Unix Support, D-4019 Monheim
