Sorry, but for me, gcc 2.4.0 compiles just fine without any error.
configure i486-bsd in my case. Make sure, you are at pachkit 0.2.3
for 386bsd0.1. This patchkit has fixed the problem with floating
points.
gcc 2.3.3 was worse to compile, enquire.c fails, but the correct
action in this case was to ignore the error and go on further,
you also got a functioning compiler :-). All of my local stuff
is compiled with either gcc2.3.3 or gcc2.4.0 and no problems
yet ( gopher, xgopher, archie, nn , rn, groff, emacs, bison, elm,
ghostscript .... ).
