(*Ouch*) I was neglecting to see the fact that... Maybe... The I/O board was going south for the winter. Well, it's enjoying a pleasant hibernation in my pile of used, spare, equipment. I took the compiled kernel, and installed it on a friends machine. Using the major,minor combo of 16,0 for lpt0 and 25,0 for lpa0 it worked like a charm. I'm going to order a new I/O board and everything (Crossing fingers while typing this) will be ok. Thank you for helping out. Keep up the good work with NetBSD and 386BSD.
