One other thing worth checking: Have you check your SCSI parity settings on *all* of the devices? It's important that the parity setting be the same for all of the devices on the SCSI bus. Either all should be enabled, or none of them. The reason I ask is that my Archive Viper actually came with the parity setting set to the opposite of the factory default.
