Subject: 386bsd on 486sx

I have tried to install both linux and 386bsd on my 486sx with no success.
Neither system will boot up at all. I think there must be some kind of hardware
problem that is preventing the boot from finishing. When I try to boot linux, I
get the message "loading ...." and then something about video modes and "Press
any key" and then nothing else happens. With 386bsd, the boot disk starts to spi
n
but never finishes and no messages are ever printed out. I know both boot disks
work because I have booted other machines before and after. If anyone has had a
similar problem and overcame it, or even just figured out the problem, I would
like to hear from them, (or see a posted message).

    My system is:

      Expotech motherboard
      intel 486sx 33 MHz cpu
      seagate 210 Meg hd
Boca research SVGA card with 1 Meg vram (Cirrus Logic chipset)

If it helps in the "diagnosis" I am also running MACH 2.6 sucessfully on the
same machine.
