Or is it? Can someone who knows inform us all? Yes, its taking place. There is a mailing list moderated by Julian Elischer and 10-15 people (including the authors of syscons, codrv and pcvt) from all over the world participating. The status of all this is, after long discussions, last week a first skeleton of a driver (just the interface specs) was made by Julian, which is now to be discussed. All this looks very promising to get a "united" highly configurable console driver, which will suit virtually anybodies needs. But, (and thats my personal opinion) it will last some time until this gets ready, don't expect anything before the end of the summer ... hellmuth -- hellmuth michaelis HCS Hanseatischer Computerservice GmbH hamburg, europe hm@hcshh.hcs.de tel: +49/40/55903-170 fax: +49/40/5591486
