I got the kernel sources already. >thanx..alex... Which netbsd :-), if you mean the released netbsd0.8, it should be the same as 386bsd. You have to go to /usr/src/sys.386bsd/i386/conf, make your new kernel config file there, and then do the config MYCONFIG. Then goto ../../compile/MYCONFIG and do a "make depend" and a "make" and you should get a new kernel. As far as i heard, if you use the current snapshot sources of netbsd, things are slightly changed. PS: And a light flame to the netbsd people :-), wasn't one of things that you want to bring out a stable system, and weekly or at last monthly functional systems ? Sorry, but in the moment, it doesn't look so :-). Boot floppies with errors, a snapshot of a source tree, where no one knows, if all things are running with the other sources, and all day new changes in some interfaces :-). But keep on with the work :-). -- ATS ( ats@first.gmd.de or ats@cs.tu-berlin.de ) Andreas Schulz GMD-FIRST O-1199 Berlin-Adlershof Rudower Chaussee 5 Gebaeude 13.7 Tel: +49-30-6392-1856 Germany/Europe
