In article <20ada9$5k5@agate.berkeley.edu> wjolitz@soda.berkeley.edu (William F. Jolitz) writes:
BSDi incorrectly chooses to interpret this as a "win". It starts to
"organize" a nascent 386bsd industry, with all the polish of a
protection racket (e.g. "you'd better play along, or we'll deal you
out"). Netbsd comes into existance about the time we politely decline
the invitation. Other commercial efforts spring into being, smelling
   opportunity.

Ah yes, the Jolitz Innuendo.

NetBSD is in no way related to *anyone* or *anything* involving UUNet,
BSDi, or *anyone* other than a subset of the "hackers@lamp"
list. Thus far, all of NetBSD's hardware has been paid for be me,
and me only, and no one has even *offered* me money for any of this.

to innocent bystanders: if you wonder why i am quick to respond to this,
Bill has in the past spread various rumors (all false) about NetBSD,
and has never once even called me before fabricating them...
