I use tip command to login to another Unix system ( Sun ? ). But I cannot
make the line 8 bit clean. I tried many combinations of the stty settings.
But none worked. I ran

stty cs8 -parenb -istrip

on both sides, but nothing changed.

Running tip from another machine, which runs SunSO supporting 8 bit characters,
I can view texts containing 8 bit characters.

I don't know if it's tip or com driver that prohibits 8 bit chars.
I believe this has been discussed before. I appreciate if someone can
tell me the solution or indicate where I can get the archived news.

Thanks.
