I've tried numerous things, including invoking /usr/local/lib/i386-bsd4.4/2.4.5/cpp directly. 2) gcc -E apparently is not reading/writing from stdin/out. I've also tried gcc -E -pipe with no success. 3) I am getting errors because /usr/include is being searched first. It seems that the options -nostdinc -idirafter /usr/include are not working.
