I have been battling this problem for quite some time now...
I sure would appreciate some help, if anyone has any.
I am trying to install NetBSD on my 425M Fujitsu at SCSI ID 2.
- I have a kc-aha.fs1 floppy with a new, re-built kernel that will
set root partition to sd2.
- I have modified the install script to prompt for the root partition.
(So I can specify sd2 or sd0)
When I try to boot the kc-aha floppy, (to begin installation)
OR ANY DRIVE!!!! I get the following messages:
bt0 reading board settings, bt_cmd: bt742a cmd/data port full
**bt0 at 0x330 irq 11 drq 5 on isa
probing for scsi devices**
cmd fail
abort failed in wait
NOTE: Configuration is the following:
- 486/33 w/20M RAM ISA bus
- Adaptec 1542C SCSI Host Adapter
- Brand BT9000S 210M internal SCSI drive at SCSI ID #0
- Fujitsu M2623F 425M external SCSI drive at SCSI ID #2
- Toshiba XM3301B CD-ROM at SCSI ID #1
ALL SCSI devices terminated properly!
NOTE: Adaptec software configuration:
- Host Adapter SCSI Termination <Disabled>
- Dynamically Scan SCSI Bus... <Enabled>
