Are you putting this in the same class as Linux, Minix, Lynx, QNX and everything which ends in n[i]x? It is a Unix-like operating system derived from the NET2 release...' I happen to have two copies of the v1.0 manual for BSD/386, and I have yet to see the offending quasi registered trademark. In some of the advertising for BSD/386, I have seen the descriptor 'unix-like' being used, but that is the extent. Yes the product is +85% based on the Berkeley Net II tape release, but it also incorporates a good number of contributed software from comp.sources.misc, and comp.sources.unix. At least BSDi conforms to the Licensing policies for these products. The other day when working with Mail-Surr on UNIXWARE, WE discovered that they are shipping PERL 4.0 with the base UNIXWARE.
