Message-ID: <1993Jun29.134011.1904@sophia.smith.edu> Sender: root@sophia.smith.edu (Operator) Organization: Smith College Date: Tue, 29 Jun 1993 13:40:11 GMT Lines: 13 I'm using a "pk-0.2.4" system with an archive viper tape drive and adaptec 1542c controller. Is it not possible to append to a tape or am I doing something wrong? When using tar to append to an archive, it winds to the end of the archive and then complains that it can't write a filemark. Using mt to write a filemark on the tape gives the same error. Any hints or tips would be appreciated. -john -- === jfieber@sophia.smith.edu ================================================ === 42 19 30 N 72 38 30 W ========== Come up and be a kite! --K. Bush ===
