It seems to me though, that if you want to hack around to get your BSD-like OS running then 386BSD is for you. But if you intend to do some serious work for a project and don't have time to *make* an OS work, then perhaps BSDI is for you. I have a gimpy ISA 486DX-33 and BSDI screams on it. Why bother saying one is better than the other, _ESPECIALLY_ since they are both derived from the same source. I think you do a dis-service(sp?) to those people that are thinking about which way to go for a UNIX OS. You should try to be more objective. Note: I am NOT a shareholder/employee of BSDI, and I have no vested interest in BSDI. > >As for the performance of the VM system just wait when 0.2 comes (big smile) > > > >P.S.: just installed digicom systems 96+ which is a software upgradable modem >and downloaded to my modem (from dos :-( ) the 14kb support and V42bis support. >Later on the year I will download to my modem v.fast !! > > That is all for now folks! > >Cheers, >Amancio > > > > >-- >This message brought to you by the letters X and S and the number 3 >Amancio Hasty | >Home: (415) 495-3046 | ftp-site depository of all my work: >e-mail hasty@netcom.com | sunvis.rtpnc.epa.gov:/pub/386bsd/incoming
