Date: Thu, 1 Jul 1993 04:09:32 GMT Lines: 35 Hi netters, I hope someone can help me. When I recompile the kernel and restart the system, the fsck fails. The wd0a partition works fine, but thwe wd0h partition which is /usr give me errors. /dev/rwd0h: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY. THE FOLLOWING FILE SYSTEM HAD AN UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY: /dev/rwd0h (/usr) Automatic file system check failed... help! and when I run fsck manually I get. ** /dev/rwd0h BAD SUPER BLOCK: MAGIC NUMBER WRONG LOOK FOR ALTERNATE SUPERBLOCK? I have ran fsck -b 32 but it still does not solve the problem. Can someone give me any suggestions. I do not have the storage space to backup /usr and then newfs it.
