Hi netters,
I hope someone can help me. When I recompile the kernel
and restart the system, the fsck fails.
The wd0a partition works fine, but thwe wd0h partition
which is /usr give me errors.
/dev/rwd0h: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY.
THE FOLLOWING FILE SYSTEM HAD AN UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY:
/dev/rwd0h (/usr)
Automatic file system check failed... help!
and when I run fsck manually I get.
** /dev/rwd0h
BAD SUPER BLOCK: MAGIC NUMBER WRONG
LOOK FOR ALTERNATE SUPERBLOCK?
I have ran fsck -b 32 but it still does not solve the
problem.
Can someone give me any suggestions. I do not have the storage
space to backup /usr and then newfs it.
Thanks inadvance,
Gary.
